Once again CMC CEVENINI has been able to manufacture and sell to one of the major European Converting Group two Log Slitting Machines Mod. E2/190B of the new E-SERIES. The customer has realised the benefit of slitting 2 logs simultaneously:  production output per operator is vastly increased using this method. Like all CEVENINI log slitting machines, this new model converts pressure sensitive (PSA) tapes, foams, foils, films, textiles, cloths and many other materials without the need for the conventional unwinding and rewinding system. The E2/190B Model using 2 superimposed rotating blades can cut 2 logs at a time having a max. Ø of 190mm. on Ø 3” mandrels. (Possibility to use mandrels from 1” to 3”). An indexing accuracy of +/- 0.1mm. is easily achieved and a size change can be performed in seconds, with a minimum slitting width of 2.0mm. TheE2/190B log slitting machine is controlled by a “PLC SIEMENS” and interface operator “Blue Mode” with touch screen technology for all the working functions and display for the cutting widths pre-selection, production counter, rotation speed of the log and of the blade. Programming panel is located on a swivel arm for great display of the pre-selected working data and there is an automatic check-control on all working functions, with self-diagnosis messages. Allnew machine's incorporate 'brushless technology' to increase productivity and lower maintenance. From a security stand point this machines are fitted with stronger protection guarding fully interlocked with the machine cycle. The E-series automatic log slitting machines allow each client to exactly tailor the machine to suit their requirement by including specific options such as : automatic blade pivoting angle, multi-width cutting preselection on the same log, Modem link to CMC for on-line software up-date and fault finding research and much more.
